Amendments to the video:

·        The percentage of criminal record complaints should refer to the percentage of complaints under the Australian Human Rights Commission Act 1986 (Cth), which are those complaints covering human rights as outlined in seven international human rights instruments (which includes ILO 111, the Convention Concerning Discrimination in Employment and Occupation, relevant to criminal record discrimination). See http://humanrights.gov.au/about/legislation/index.html#ahrc. These complaints don’t include all the complaints to the Commission overall, as there are many more complaints lodged with the Commission of breaches of the Sex Discrimination Act, Race Discrimination Act, Disability Discrimination Act and Age Discrimination Act.

·        23% of all complaints received by the Commission under the AHRC Act were on the basis of criminal record discrimination (July 2010 – June 2011). For more details go to:  http://humanrights.gov.au/human_rights/criminalrecord/index.html
